Easter on Malo

The children and I accompanied Glen and his mentoring group to Malo for field experience over the Easter weekend.

We had a lovely time and the students (and Glen) did a fantastic job of proclaiming Christ crucified and risen again. Join with us in praying for those that heard this message and understood it for the first time. Pray that they will really trust in Christ's death on their behalf and live in newness of life.

Here are some photos of the weekend.

far right: Api writes up the study; right: Glen reads the passage; below: Dean runs the study on the death of Jesus. He has a natural manner and is a clear teacher.
right and above: everyone, young and old, meets in groups for discussion.
Api & Jon ran a children's program. Below: the children drawing or writing down their sins; right & far right: Api explains that Jesus bore their sin on the cross; bottom: Jon has a big smile & can tell a great story!
We rose early on Sunday and sang songs by candlelight as we walked to the "empty tomb" for a drama re-enacting the resurrection and then a talk on the victory, joy & hope we have in Jesus.
