earthquake

There was a VERY MINOR earthquake here the other night.

I was up comforting Matthew in the middle of the night, sitting on his
bed beside him.

The strange thing was how the quake RUMBLED along. It rumbled towards
us. The house lurched. It rumbled away. It sounded just like
thunder. Then it was over.

Dear Rachael,

I am wondering just how long this took. From the start of the rumble to the end. Was it frightening or did you not have time to realise jut what it was at the time. Love Mum (Raeline)

It was about five seconds woe to go. Just long enough to start worrying about whether it was going to be a big one, and then it stopped.
